Our priorities
Every Child TN mobilizes all Tennesseans to care for children, youth, and families before, during, and after foster care. We do this as a network of agencies, advocates, faith communities, and advocates across the state focusing on four priorities.
Preservation
We support children at risk of entering foster care by partnering with families with the goal of keeping them together.
Recruitment
We recruit foster families across the state who can meet the needs of children in foster care. The goal is to find foster placements for children in their community, keeping kids connected to their school, friends, siblings, and family. This means we need to recruit from every corner of the state, from all communities!
Retention
Foster parents need support, too! We help current foster parents so they can stick with fostering for the long haul.
Transition
Aging out of foster care is difficult for any youth. We support older teens and young adults as they make this transition into adulthood.
What we do
Every Child TN is a comprehensive and coordinated entry point for everyday Tennesseans to support – in any way they can – the children, youth, and families impacted by foster care. The statewide effort is powered by the TN Department of Children’s Services, the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Initiative, 20 foster care providers, and hundreds of community and faith organizations.

about the current state of foster care, what is needed, what is working, and how individuals, faith communities, non-profits, and businesses can support children, youth, and families.
Inviting Tennesseans
to take the first step in supporting children, youth, and families before, during, and after foster care.
Mobilizing Tennesseans
from all backgrounds and beliefs, from every rural and urban county, to unite around a single purpose: making sure every child, youth, and family flourishes.
Celebrating Tennesseans
working within state departments, non-profit organizations, and faith communities to bring love and hope to children, youth, and families before, during, and after foster care.
Collaboration
