The Every Child TN Network Summit
Every Child TN is made up of agencies, organizations, and faith communities across Tennessee that have come together for our common goal: to serve children, youth, and families before, during, and after foster care. The organizations that are a part of the network provide volunteer opportunities, approve foster families, or provide support for families impacted by child welfare.
Launching a new initiative requires a lot of collaboration, teamwork, and listening. This is essential to the work of Every Child TN because we know that our goals cannot be accomplished alone.
In March 2024, an Every Child TN summit was held in collaboration with our backbone organizations (The TN Department of Children’s Services and the Governor’s Office of Faith Based Initiative).
The summit was held at the beautiful Motlow State Community College, and we thank their staff for their tremendous support.
At the event, the collaboration between the partner organizations that make up the Every Child TN network began in earnest. We talked about what we dream for this collaboration, how we can best work together, and what goals we were going to set.
Tennessee Governor Lee also spoke at the summit, thanking those who are leaning in, locking arms, and rolling up their sleeves to help the foster children, youth, and families.
By the numbers:
The Every Child TN network partners and community leaders came from all over the state. At that summit, there were 334 attendees, including DCS, Placement Agencies, Volunteer Orgs, and faith leaders.
218 organizations and faith communities were represented
44 Placement Agencies were represented
75 faith organizations were represented
31 Volunteer organizations were represented.
